Customs Office In Wa Exceeds Revenue Target By Over 10%

The Wa Collection of Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) mobilised a total amount of GH¢4,690,000.00 in 2017 in excess of its revenue target of GH¢4,250,000.00 for that year.The Customs Division therefore exceeded its 2017 set goal by 10.31 in spite of human and logistical challenges facing the revenue collection body for the state.The feat was chalked even when staff position of the Collection which started with 106 in 2017 dwindled to 62 by July the same year owing to the crisis in Tema, according to officials, which affected the general human resource position of Customs.

Shippers Authority inaugurates new office in Tamale

The Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA) Tuesday inaugurated its new office in Tamale to bridge the gap between the north and the south to remove trade bottlenecks for internal and intra-regional trade.The new office will also bring services of GSA closer to exporters and importers in the Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions.
